Drain Alert was recently commissioned by Mathews and Leigh Civil Engineers — a long-standing client with whom we have worked for over 20 years — to carry out a comprehensive sewer cleaning and CCTV drainage survey on a new Bovis Homes residential development at Loachbrook Farm, Congleton.

The project involved cleaning and surveying all sewers across the fully occupied development using our Jet Vac Tanker and CCTV Drainage Survey Unit. As the site had been built and occupied for a number of years, a thorough inspection was required before the sewer network could be formally adopted by United Utilities.

Under a Section 104 Agreement, United Utilities require developers and their appointed contractors to provide verified CCTV survey evidence demonstrating that all sewers have been installed correctly, are free from defects, and are in a suitable condition for adoption into the public sewer network. Our survey provided exactly that — a detailed, structured inspection record confirming the condition of each pipe and giving United Utilities the documentation required to progress the adoption.

This type of pre-adoption survey work is a core part of our service offer to civil engineers, developers, and drainage contractors operating across the UK. If you require sewer cleaning and survey services in support of a Section 104 or Section 102 adoption, contact the Drain Alert team to discuss your requirements.
